After his 2023 debut single “Shouting Aloud”, Sicilian artist Francesco Squadrito, known as Fran, returns with his second original track “Synced to the Beat”, released on May 24, 2025, by the American label Sonic Charm Lab. The song, a burst of melodic EDM-inspired Pop/Dance, confirms his passion for electronic music and the expressive power of the dancefloor.
Originally from Messina, Fran is a self-taught artist whose career began in the early 1990s. He grew up in the Milan area and later moved back to Sicily, where he nurtured a lifelong love for the sounds of 1980s Italo-Disco and Euro-Disco, with a special admiration for Modern Talking.
Over the years, he has taken part in various TV and radio festivals, including Festival degli Sconosciuti on Telelombardia, he competed in a singing festival on Radio Gibson Music, Onda TV (a local Sicilian broadcaster), and Radio Milazzo, where he was a guest on the local show Onda Anomala. He was also featured on Radio Night Messina. In 2014, he reached fourth place in the regional selections for the national contest Festival Pub Italia, and in 2015 he appeared on the talent show Tu sì Que Vales on Canale 5.
Over time, Fran has built a consistent musical path based on an identity that blends eighties synth roots with a modern sensibility. This fusion is fully expressed in his latest release.
