Evanescence teams up with alternative artist K.Flay to deliver “Fight Like A Girl,” a powerful single written exclusively for the end credits of the action-thriller Ballerina, a spinoff from the John Wick universe. The song officially dropped on June 6.

Directed by Chad Stahelski (the filmmaker behind the John Wick series), the video blends cinematic visuals with fiery stage presence. Amy Lee and K.Flay appear with the band in a moody, storm-lit setting that mirrors the gritty, high-stakes tone of the film.

Written by Amy Lee, K.Flay, Dylan Eiland, and composer Tyler Bates, who also produced the track, the song delivers a fusion of raw rock power and sharp lyrical defiance. It echoes themes of vengeance, survival, and feminine strength, aligned with the film’s narrative.

Early reactions from fans have been mixed but passionate. While many praise the bold collaboration and cinematic style, others felt the vocal pairing was unexpected. “I dig it! It’s different in a fun way,” wrote one fan on Reddit, while another noted, “Her parts feel out of place, but the instrumental is insane.”

Although it remains unclear whether “Fight Like A Girl” will be part of a future Evanescence album, the band continues experimenting with soundtrack work, following releases like “Afterlife” (for Netflix’s Devil May Cry) and collaborations with artists like Halsey.

With its fusion of alternative rock, cinematic energy, and a strong message of empowerment, “Fight Like A Girl” marks another daring evolution in Evanescence’s sound, and a fierce addition to the Ballerina soundtrack.
